The Sri Mala-haani-kareshwara (remover of demerits or paapa) Temple is a revered ancient Shiva temple in Sringeri, Karnataka. Sringeri is famous for being home to the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, the first center of Vedic learning established by Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya twelve centuries ago. He included this temple, mentioned in the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Brahmaanda Purana, as a vital part of the tradition of the Sharada Peetham at Sringeri.

Thereafter the Jagadguru now graces the Kalyana Mandapa wherein are placed the exquisitely decorated Vigrahas of Sri Bhavani and Sri Malahanikareshwara.
