(18 Apr 2017) Prince William continued to promote awareness of mental health issues on Tuesday as he attended a documentary screening in London.
Hot off the heels of his filmed conversation with Lady Gaga, in which they talked about the importance of being open about mental health issues, the Duke of Cambridge met the subjects of a BBC documentary "Mind over Marathon".
The film follows the journey of ten runners with mental health issues as they train for the London Marathon, which takes place on Sunday.
Talking onstage after the screening, Prince William said he was left "speechless" and "emotional" by the documentary and needed a few moments to pull himself together before continuing.
He said how proud he was of the subjects, vocalising his belief that society was "on the cusp" of being more accepting of mental health issues.
William's speech comes after his brother Harry's interview with British newspaper The Telegraph, where he openly talked about seeing a therapist in his late twenties in order to cope with the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
William, his wife the Duchess of Cambridge and his brother Prince Harry have made mental health a focus of their charitable work.
