Built smack in the middle of Queens Interlocking, the new Elmont Station is positioned to serve Belmont Racetrack and UBS Stadium. The station is still under construction, with only the eastbound side being open. Regular stopping service will not commence until the westbound side is complete. Additionally, Queens Interlocking will be reconfigured to allow Hempstead Branch trains to access the westbound platform. As such, the high speed crossovers will be moved from there current location to elsewhere in the interlocking. Enjoy =)
