Cairngorm 400 - Day 1 Edzell to Ballater

Socket to Socket Productions presents Day 1 of our 5 Day E Mountain Bike journey around The Cairngorm National Park.
Our Journey starts from Glen Esk Holiday Park Campsite and in this section we travel along Glen Esk then over the ancient Fungle Road to Forest of Birse and onto Royal Deeside, stopping overnight at Ballater Hostel; with great facilities for storing and charging our e-bikes.
A bit of a climb over the fungle road and a short steep descent off the top but otherwise a straightforward route.
A nice backpacking trip, but without the need to pitch a tent.
