LS CU the open royal car drives in procession through Cape Town's crowded streets to Parliament. MS The Royal standard flying over the House of Parliament.



MS King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) walking through a military guard of honour to the entrance and walking down the aisle of Parliament. The King wears a white Naval suit and the Queen a long ceremonial dress and diamond coronet. LS Cut in shot of the two Princesses (Elizabeth and Margaret) watching from the gallery of the house. MS their Majesties sitting on their thrones. MS LS They leave the Parliament walking slowly through the troops and crowds.



MS the Royal Family boarding the royal train at Cape town to start off on their tour. CU General Jan Smuts and Governor General Gideon Brand Van Zyl seeing the Royal party off. Both wearing civilian clothes. LS MS the Royal train moving off, passing a British warship docked in the harbour. CU the Royal family looking out of the window.
