The King and Queen open Parliament in Cape Town and leave on the Royal Train.



LS CU the open royal car drives in procession through Cape Town's crowded streets to Parliament. MS The Royal standard flying over the House of Parliament.



MS King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) walking through a military guard of honour to the entrance and walking down the aisle of Parliament. The King wears a white Naval suit and the Queen a long ceremonial dress and diamond coronet. LS Cut in shot of the two Princesses (Elizabeth and Margaret) watching from the gallery of the house.
