Inspirational Fishing Video (ALL OUT SEND IN TORRENTIAL RAINSTORM!!!)

It’s moments like these I live for. Fishing rod in hand, waders buckled up, and a blank canvas for the adventure. Today I’m getting lost out here, and as immersed in the environment as I possibly can. I want to feel my place out here and the only way to find that out is taking the first step into the unknown. Then the next, and the next. This area I explored was uncharted territory. Nothing around for miles and miles. A very unique habitat. Flat, swampy lands, yet at a high elevation. It was cold out here. Upper 30s to low 40s and windy. With a torrential rainstorm approaching. The fish could feel it and my thought was they would be feeding heavily before the storm really hit. I was right but it took some serious exploring to figure it out. I began the hike down an ATV trail, into a swamp that felt like it was never ending, and finally got to the river I was looking for. Tannic water, fast flowing water contrasted with slow beaver pond areas. Trout heaven!!! This place was seriously out of this world. And the coolest part was the fact that I had nothing other to do than explore the heck out of it! I haven’t felt this in my element in a while. It was just what I needed. The energy was literally all time throughout this entire trip. I kept wading down stream casting out and just observing all there was out here. Trying to figure something out. I came up to an amazing run where the water was rushing past these huge boulders and I slowed it down and took my time fishing it. I knew there had to be a fish here. And I’m so far back at this point that I’m just thinking to myself “who else would even come all the way back here and do the hike I just did to catch a trout”. I made the right lure switch and caught one instantly. This gave me some serious faith for the adventure. I was on the fish! Shortly after this the wind picked up and I could feel the heavy rain approaching. This was the fish gods saying “ you think u got it that easy for today, kid?” And this is when things got interesting. I’ll say it right now, again. These are the moments I live for. When I am going all out, head to head with the nature and everything out here and becoming one with it. The freezing cold downpour was only inspiring me more to keep going. I couldn’t quite feel my face for my fingers but you don’t need anything than the energy of the send to keep you going when it comes down to it. No thoughts, feelings, or new ideas are necessary. All that was, was me doing what I’m meant to do and what I set out to do. Explore.

Things got pretty crazy and I have never felt like this out on an adventure before. It felt like the skye life adventures were approaching being more like a wilderness survival if I didn’t head back when I did. I had one thing on my mind tho, and until I accomplished it, I was not heading back. No matter what. You’ll see what happens. It came down to the last cast… and sometimes it happens like that and the only way to experience it is by putting yourself in a place where you may or may not get what you came out for. You may fail and learn or succeed and learn. That is the send my friends.
