The EASIEST way to import Airfoils into Creo and Pro/E

Описание к видео The EASIEST way to import Airfoils into Creo and Pro/E

In this tutorial I walk through the process of importing airfoil geometry into PTC Creo and Pro/E starting with coordinates describing the airfoil cross section.

Step 1: Download the .csv/.txt/.dat file for the desired airfoil

Step 2: Import the file into Microsoft Excel

Step 3: Separate the data into the top surface and bottom surface

Step 4: Make sure the data for both surfaces travels in the X direction from zero to one with the corresponding Y coordinates

Step 5: Save the data in separate files for the top and bottom in a .pts format

Step 6: In Creo sketch a coordinate system and two splines that start at the origin and end at a point 1 unit from the origin on the X axis

Step 7: Modify the splines by importing the previously saved files
