Phomopsis Stem Canker of Sunflower-Mathew and Swanson

Описание к видео Phomopsis Stem Canker of Sunflower-Mathew and Swanson

Phomopsis stem canker, a disease that affects sunflowers is causing significant yield losses in US sunflower production, especially in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Currently, farmers are advised to manage Phomopsis stem canker by using fungicides that contain Quinone outside Inhibitor (QoI). However, resistance to QoI has been confirmed in the causal fungus, Diaporthe helianthi in some areas. In order to effectively address fungicide resistance, it is recommended to employ a combination of chemicals with different modes of action. Recent field trials were conducted to assess new fungicide chemistries and application timings. Check out the findings in this webinar.
