I have heart failure, and I have found a way to become a runner despite having heart failure.

In 2011, I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. In 2014, I had open heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic. In 2023, I ran the Boston Marathon and the Chicago Marathon.

Here is some of my story.
