Conway Stewart #16 fountain pen restoration

Complete service and restoration of a vintage Conway Stewart number 16 fountain pen with a 14 carat gold nib.
First up I remove the section, then I remove the nib and feed then put them in the ultrasonic cleaner.
Next the perished sac is removed and parts of it have to be scraped away with a razor blade.
New sac is installed then the cap is tken to pieces, cleaned and then polished with a 12000 micromesh pad.
The barrel is polished and the pen reassembled.
The tines of the nib are checked under a microscope and then aligned on the nib block.
