Using MARCEdit as an alternative to Normalisation Rules

Although Alma Normalisation Rules are efficient in many cases, University of New South Wales Library has changed to using MARCEdit for editing bibliographic records in certain circumstances.
In many instances we have found MARCEdit much simpler and flexible to use. This has proved especially the case when working with the extreme variety of MARC records from different vendors. Various scenarios where UNSW MARCEdit is used instead on Normalisation Rules will be demonstrated
