The Legend Of Dragoon Review | Mistreated Classic | Ambitious and Flawed, Yet Charming And Epic!

The Legend of Dragoon was Sony's attempt to rival Squaresoft's eclectic Final Fantasy series. Received lukewarmly by several critics and harshly criticized by many detractors, it nevertheless remained loved by many others.
With a large budget, this jrpg features beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds and spectacular 3D animations in battle. Dart and friends' journey through the fantasy world of Endiness is a story full of classic tropes, but it's told very well.
Although the gameplay is partially janky, it has some nice ideas and, in the end, has similar flaws to other more renowned JRPGs.
It may not have renewed a genre, but beneath its classic and flawed exterior, the legend of dragoon has a big heart!
