To attract customers, marketing videos must be Concise, Specific, Visual, and Compelling. But, even if we have all of these elements wrapped up into one video, it will not be successful if it is too long or too short. Here's why; if a video is too short due to a lack of valuable content, viewers won't take action and if it's too long people will stop watching it.

What if you knew the exact optimal length for any marketing video that would always get the best results? Would you like me to tell you what it is?! Well I can't, because there is no one length fits all for video.

Here's what I can tell you: I have discovered that viewers want short videos. If it's their first time to be exposed to your company, they want the video to be even shorter! Most Marketing Videos need to be less than 5mins and only 1-2mins if it's a video purposed for brand awareness and exposure.

The key to remember is that each marketing video needs to serve one purpose and the content has to be concise and powerful enough to move viewers to action.

But you may be saying, "Chase, I have at least 20min of content. How I going to cram all that into a video under 5min?" My Answer: You Don't!

Split content into separate videos. It's better to have Ten 2min videos than One 20min video.
