Were Jesus and His First Followers Wrong About the End of the Age?

In this interview with Derek Lambert, host of ‪@MythVisionPodcast‬ , I explore two questions: Were Jesus and his early followers wrong about the imminent arrival of the End of the Age? What happens to a group when their apocalyptic expectations fail to come about? In my view this is the fundamental question underlying any study of the historical Jesus and Christian origins. Not just that the "timing" was wrong, but that Jesus' movement takes its place in a long line of failed apocalyptic movements in which what was expected to come never came about and history, with its normal mix of the good, the bad, and the ugly, marched on through time with the natural order of things continuing.
