Pattern: Folkwear Patterns 116 Shirts of Russia & Ukraine
Materials:
black cotton bedsheet
black polyester thread
Pride polyester grosgrain ribbon
vintage round buttons
scrap elastic for cuffs
sew on black snaps for cuffs

I followed the sewing directions that come with this pattern except for the following:

I flipped the front closure. The pattern has the asymmetrical closure on the left, but Geralt's shirt closes on the right side. There was also one tiny little seam in this front closure that I couldn't wrap my head around, so I just pressed everything down and whip stitched everything into place instead of fussing with this seam.

Because Geralt's shirt cuffs are never seen in the show, I added some modern conveniences. Within the hem of the cuff, I secure a small piece of elastic to gather down the sleeve to my wrist circumference instead of manually gathering the sleeve into a separate cuff piece. This uses up some scraps I had laying around and makes it easier to roll up my sleeves securely. I also added little black sew-on snaps to the cuff opening instead of a button because I didn't use a separate cuff piece.

I embroidered the yoke piece to match the shirt in the show. In the pattern, the yoke piece is an interior reinforcement, but I used it to match the yoke from the show. I also flat lined any embroidery with a piece of plain white cotton to draw out my embroidery pattern and reinforce the thin bedsheet.
