Get in line for some of the best chicken this side of the eastern shore! Delmarva’s Chicken festival is back to celebrate 100 years since quite possibly the best mistake in chicken roasting history.

The chicken of the future will be fried. Come celebrate the 100th anniversary of quite possibly the best mistake in chicken roasting history. It was back in 1923 when Cecile Steele’s order for 50 chicks arrived with 500 chicks! She made do and gave birth to a $5 billion dollar business. The festival that began in 1948 had its last run in 2014 but it’s coming back to town to help celebrate the anniversary! Join in the celebration as viewers learn the history of Delmarva chicken production and get a glimpse at the current and future of chicken production on the Eastern shore. It’s a day filled with kid friendly events, hot wings contests and some of the best fried chicken this side of the bay.
