Nothing stops the fishing - not even a brutal heat wave! In this video, I'm hitting the LA River during some of the hottest weather we've had all year, targeting bass with the fly rod when most people are hiding indoors with the AC cranked up.

Fishing during extreme heat presents its own unique challenges and opportunities. The bass behavior changes, the water conditions shift, and you definitely have to adjust your approach. But sometimes the fishing can surprise you when conditions seem impossible.

As a bonus, I also managed to connect with a few catfish during this sweltering session - proving that even in tough conditions, the LA River still has fish willing to play. The heat was relentless, but the action made it worth every degree.
