Let’s say that you need to quickly and easily highlight an entire row of cells. To do this, left click on the first entry in the column, in this example, cell A2, so it is highlighted. From here, hold down the control and shift keys, and then hit the right arrow key on the keyboard. And as you see all of the cells are highlighted.

One note, if there is an empty cell, as I will delete the entry in cell O2, and then I do this, control, shift and right arrow, then excel will stop the highlight at the empty cell. If you want to highlight the cells in the row, including the empty cells, then again control, shift, then right arrow once, I will hit the right arrow again, and once more, and now all of the cells including the empty cell are highlighted.

This will also work with highlighting an entire column, except it is control plus shift and then hit the down arrow key.
