Wyoming Rivers Coop is a for-profit river company with a mission: to reconnect Wyoming communities to the State’s waterways through experience-based river trips and cooperative partnerships. Founded by Landon Blanchard and Elyse Guarino, WRC aims to fill a niche in the outdoor recreation sector by combining our decades of professional guiding experience and our backgrounds in conservation and non-profit organizations.
Many communities in the West exist because there is a river nearby. We all use water and as the west continues to develop there will inevitably be more and more interest in using this resource for more than drinking and flushing toilets. A paddle trip with Wyoming River Co-op offers the opportunity to experience those multiple uses first hand. Agriculture, extraction, city and town use, peace and quiet and recreation. We also use our trips to facilitate conversation about current local issues, the various stakeholders and how to be involved in creating sustainable, collaborative solutions.

We want Wyoming communities, everyone who visits and everyone using water downstream to have healthy, vibrant, enjoyable and drinkable rivers from now until forever. Understanding our rivers, thinking critically about what sustainable use looks like for all users (including us) and imagining the future of the places we love is all part of making that happen. We are dedicated to learning, teaching and protecting Wyoming’s life-giving rivers and streams. Our trips will always be small and as low impact as possible.

As I mentioned earlier, we are using this time to focus on our mission and develop the relationships needed to make lasting impacts for communities and waterways in the state of Wyoming. We don't know if there will be commercial trips happening for quite some time but, we feel that there is opportunity right now to connect with people and organization and share ideas that will ultimately help our company, the communities we operate in, and the ecological resources we rely on.
