In todays video we are going to learn how to find the rank and nullity of a matrix.

Rank: the rank of a matrix is the maximum number of linearly independent row or column vectors in a matrix.
Given a matrix, it is advisable to transform the matrix into its row echelon form. In the row echelon form, the maximum number of linearly independent vectors is equal to the number of non-zero rows.

Nullity: of a matrix is equal to the number of columns minus the rank of the matrix
