US 29 South (Future Interstate 785), Virginia border to Greensboro

Continuing from the previous video, I begin the drive on US 58 / Danville Expressway in Virginia where I enter US 29 South. I pass by the city of Reidsville and finish the drive within the city limits of Greensboro.

This section of US 29 will someday be designated as Interstate 785.

The portion of US 29 from the Virginia border to Reidsville is a four-lane, controlled-access highway that meets interstate standards. From Reidsville to Greensboro, however, the highway becomes a four-lane expressway with at-grade intersections and driveway connections -- this portion will need to be upgraded to interstate standards (that is, converted to a freeway) before the road can carry the I-785 shield.
