Every few blocks of sets, the Pokemon Trading Card Game introduces new cards with unique mechanics or special effects to change the format from what it was previously. While there have been many powerful mechanics stemming from this, such as the various forms of strong Pokemon worth multiple Prize Cards while KOed, like Pokemon ex, GX, or V: many other worse mechanics have fallen completely to the wayside. At the very worst of all these failed mechanics were the Crystal Pokemon.
