Drainage Density | Hydrology | Mapping | ArcGIS | Part-1

Описание к видео Drainage Density | Hydrology | Mapping | ArcGIS | Part-1

Formula for drainage density = length of the streams within 1 km2 unit area.

Data sets required:
1. Stream order (Shape file)
2. 1 km2 Grid (Shape file)

Steps:
1. Set a workspace and save map document “mxd”
2. Use Hydrology tool for to create stream order -    • Creating Stream order | Watershed del...
3. Create Grids for 1sqkm
4. Intersect Grids and stream.
5. Dissolve stream based on the page number field
6. Calculate length of the streams
7. Use join table to add Grids with reference field of page number
8. Export grid and convert into point
9. Use interpolation technique to understand spatial distribution of drainage density
10. Examine what type of interpolation suitable for the drainage density

// Here, for me spline is good for to visualize drainage density //
