Rhinitis is a condition that causes the inflammation of the mucous membrane. One might only have a basic understanding of the functions of nose, that is breathing. However, it is not limited to that. Some of the functions of nose are providing a mucosal defence and protection against pathogens. The nose filters unwanted particles and substances. Noses provide the first line of entry to the air we breathe. The nose humidifies and warms this air and passes it to the lungs. This is why it is important to protect the nose against various issues like Rhinitis.
Now let us look at the different types of Rhinitis:

The first in the list of the types of rhinitis is allergic rhinitis. This is caused by allergens and is nothing but a response by the body. It is an immune-mediated response to an allergen that is non-pathogenic.
The second in the list of types of rhinitis is non-allergic rhinitis. The difference between allergic and non-allergic rhinitis is that non-allergic rhinitis is not immune-mediated responses.
The last in the list of types of rhinitis is infective rhinitis. This is caused by acute infections such as sinusitis. It is accompanied by pain over the face, ears, fever, purulent discharge, etc.

Anatomical problems like deviated nasal septum, turbinate hypertrophy (where the bony structures of the nose grow excessively) can get worse due to allergies. All these factors can lead to problems while breathing or increased chances of getting sinusitis. It is important to solve these problems. Surgical correction for bent noses and turbinate reduction for enlarged turbinates can help with better functioning of the nose. If it is not severe, saline water and nose sprays can help too.

नॉन एलर्जिक राइनाइटिस: यह दूसरा टाइप्स ओफ़ राइनाइटिस है- एलर्जिक राइनाइटिस और नॉन एलर्जिक राइनाइटिस में सिर्फ़ इतना फ़र्क़ होता है की एलर्जिक राइनाइटिस इम्यून की प्रोब्लेम्स की वजह से होता है और नॉन एलर्जिक राइनाइटिस इम्यून प्रोब्लेम्स की वजह से नहीं होता हैं।

इंफेक्टिव राइनाइटिस: इसमें आप अपने चेहरे पर दर्द महसूस करते है जिस तरफ़ भी साइनस ने इफ़ेक्ट किया हो, साथ ही इसमें आपको बुखार, कान में दर्द और प्यरुलेंट डिस्चार्ज जैसी समस्याएं हो सकती हैं।
