Parvati asked Lord Shiva:
"Mahadev, one question troubles my heart… Why do good people, who are kind and righteous, always seem to suffer more than others? While those who lie, cheat, and harm others, often appear to live in comfort and joy. Why is life so unfair?"
Shiva smiled gently and replied:
"Devi, when an ordinary pot is made of clay, it is baked only once. But when a vessel is to hold nectar, it must be heated and purified many times. Similarly, ordinary souls face ordinary trials. But the pure-hearted, the righteous ones, are tested again and again — not to destroy them, but to strengthen them."
"Suffering is not punishment, Parvati. It is preparation. Just as gold is purified in fire, the soul of the good is refined through pain. Their suffering transforms them into beings of wisdom, compassion, and light."
"Do not think of their pain as injustice. It is the universe shaping them into examples for others, guiding humanity through their resilience and purity."
Parvati bowed her head and said softly:
"Now I understand, Mahadev… suffering for the good is not cruelty, it is grace in disguise."
