Nothing says summer in the south quite like fresh peaches. Our July 2024 Recipe of the Month, Skillet Peach Cake, has layers of peaches baked into a tender cake, swirled with cinnamon sugar, and topped with a sugary crust. 1½ cups sugar, divided
2 eggs, room temperature
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3-4 peaches, sliced
