Описание к видео Thunderbird 91.6 OpenPGP Key Generator. Digitally sign/encrypt emails with Open PGP.

In Thunderbird 91.6
Go to the menu on the right, select "Account Settings"

Go to "End-To-End Encryption"
Go to"Add Key"
Select Create New PGP key

It's recommended that the Key expires eventually, i'm going to choose 1 year.
Keep the Key Type as RSA
Change the Key size to 4096
Click on "Generate Key"
Click "Confirm"

You can export the file that contains your public key block anywhere.

Let’s try e-mailing someone to see what a signature looks like.

“Digitally Sign This Message” is NOT encryption.

Encrypting the email will only work if you have the recipients Public PGP Key Block.

It will automatically in Thunderbird attach two files to the email, one is your Public PGP key
block that is used for potentional future encryption,
the other is your PGP signature certifiying the integrity of the email.

“Digitally signing” the email with OpenPGP in Thunderbird will give the recipient
YOUR public PGP key block. They may store it in their key manager.

You can post your PUBLIC PGP key anywhere.

You can always attach your Public PGP key to any email for anyone to store it in their
key manager.

I can't send an encrypted OpenPGP e-mail because i don't have Test Tom's Public key block.

But again, you can sign it for certification.

Please ask questions and leave feedback. Thanks for watching.
