→ Join me on the shortest flight in the entire Southwest system — just 75 miles — between Colorado's two biggest cities! The only thing that made this flight even more enjoyable was the fact that it was on the FREEDOM ONE! Literally can't get any better! With only a mere 35 minutes in the air, this was one of the longest COS - DEN flights ever made. Its only a matter of time before the winds are just right and Southwest shatters SkyWest's current fastest time between the two cities — 11 minutes. We begin at COS's gate 12 and push back. The winds were strong out of the south, so we taxi to runway 17L and wait to be released. A short hold later, and the engines come to life, launching us skyward for the next 30-ish minutes. We climb to a mere 13,000 feet, where we cruise for 14 minutes, then initiate our descent into Denver, as we fly the down wind for runway 17R. We make our base legs, then line up for runway 17R, where we touch ground just a half hour since leaving it, slow down a make a dash to gate C33, where this full flight comes to an end. I hope you enjoy this full flight as much as I did, and, as always, all the flight information you could ever desire can be found below!
