Exploring Downtown Disney | Disneyland | Our Wandering Family

If you can't make it to the park, strolling around Downtown Disney is the next best thing. Sweets, treats, Starbucks, Gift Shops, an impromptu dance party by our 12-year-old, and so much more made for an enjoyable afternoon in Anaheim.

Parking was free for the first few hours as long as you spent $20 and had your receipt validated in Downtown Disney. If you enjoy a table service meal, make sure to have that validated because you get five free hours of parking instead.

Having now been to Downtown Disney and Disney Springs, it's hard to say which is our favorite of the two, both carry pretty similar shops, however, I do think there is a bit more to do in Disney Springs, and the food options far surpass Downtown Disney (Ragland Road alone is worth a trip to Disney Springs).
