Rediscovering Vintage: CMI's Model #97 Waikiki Deluxe | Vintage Valco Amp

Hey everyone! I wanted to do a long-form video discussing a lesser-known vintage amp called the "Model #97 Waikiki Deluxe," which was built for the CMI company by Valco.

While the video goes into much more detail, this amp holds a very cool place in the history of electric/amplified instruments. The Waikiki Deluxe is a great example of a piece of gear that was built for the Hawaiian music craze of the first half of the 20th Century. However, while the amp might have been built with steel guitar and white sand beaches in mind, this is a killer guitar amplifier that can be right at home mic'd up in a modern recording studio!
