The Rise of App State Football

App State has become one of the best teams at the Group of Five level and look to be the favorite to win the Sun Belt this upcoming season. Over the past two decades, the Mountaineers have built their program into a juggernaut when it comes to branding due to insane upsets, winning three FCS national Championships in three years, and have consistently made it to a bowl game since they transitioned to the FBS level. But this year they may have their best team and could not just win the Sun Belt conference but also make the 12-team college football playoff. This is the rise of App State football.
