CHINA TRAVEL VLOG #1 | OMPHOBBY Factory Tour, M4 MAX & M7 Previews!

We went to China!

While probably tens of thousands of words were spoken and translated, there is only one word to describe the past 2 weeks: Incomprehensible.

When Tim, Luis and I boarded an Air China 747-89L on September 15th, we had not the slightest clue what to expect, and certainly never did we expect this trip to become so tremendously impactful.

We experienced Chinese culture, tried as many different foods as we could, seen the place where every single one of our OMPHOBBY helicopters and SUNNYSKY motors was made, met all the amazing and dedicated people making this even possible, drove fast cars, prototyped our new M7, finalized the M4 MAX, saw the Fun-Key factory, the elusive place where the best rotor blades in the industry are being made, laminated rotor blades ourselves, and finally competed at RAM 2023 with two prototype M7 helicopters that hadn't even been flying for a week and took 3rd place.

Throughout the entire trip, we sometimes had to pause, look at each other and ask ourselves, what in the world are we doing here and how did we get here? It truly was unbelievable at times.

Thank you Jeff Ren, Mister Jin, Mister King, the wonderful OMPHOBBY office staff, the dedicated and hard working factory crew, Jason Szeto from Fun-Key Aeroplane Models, Danny Wang and his team at Rotor Asia Masters and everyone else who has made this experience as amazing as it was. We will be back soon!
