This video shows our latest turnkey project installation at Formex Metal Industries in Kitchener Ontario Canada, for a ball stud machining cell with a process time of 29 seconds.

The cell contained all the incoming floor automation, parts were loaded via gravity pneumatic chutes, which fed to Festo metering devices.

After robot part load into OP 10, the part is passes through an air blow off station, then placed in a Keyence gage.

From OP 10 gage the part is robot loaded into the OP 20 chutes, then robot loaded into the OP 20 machine for finish turning and roller burnishing.

After another air blow off, the part is gaged for OP 20 features then exiting the cell via gravity pneumatic chutes.

The machines were (2) KIT 450 Gang Lathes from Hyundai Wia, loaded via (2) Motoman XRC Robots, all integrated on site during the 2 week installation period.
