Every town has its quirks, but AumSum's town had recently turned into something rather unusual. People had started shopping non-stop. It began with small things - an extra pair of socks, a shiny toy, a snack or two. But soon, the town was overflowing with shopping bags, delivery boxes, and endless receipts.
At first, it seemed fun. He could pick anything he wanted - ten pairs of sunglasses, a thousand marbles, even a robot that danced and sang. But the joy didn’t last long. Soon, the streets were jammed with packages. Mail trucks couldn’t move. Playgrounds turned into storage spaces. People began losing track of what they had bought.
AumSum’s room looked like a department store. He tripped over gadgets, slipped on wrappers, and lost his favorite book under a pile of unused toys. He realized it wasn’t fun anymore. It was a mess. That night, AumSum stayed awake thinking. Something was wrong. Was it a strange spell? A signal from space? He decided to find out.
He built a machine using parts from toys, speakers, and even a shopping cart. Its job was to track brainwaves and detect shopping signals. When he turned it on, a loud alarm rang. The signal was everywhere - coming from the town tower.
Without wasting time, AumSum grabbed his gear, hopped on his hoverboard, and zipped to the tower. Inside, he discovered a massive satellite dish blinking with colors. It was blasting a signal that made people want to shop non-stop. AumSum connected his scanner, reprogrammed the dish using code from an old calculator, and zapped out a counter-signal.
In minutes, things began changing. People blinked, looked at their carts, and stopped. Some laughed, others looked confused, but everyone slowly started returning to their normal lives. Once again, curiosity and courage had saved the day, and AumSum, as always, had emerged a quiet hero.
