Awesome things are happening in the electric bike world! In this e-bike news segment we’re going to cover everything from the E-bike Tax Credit progress to showing you one of the lightest high performance e-bikes to hit the market.

MONEY SAVING NEWS!
The Ebike tax credit is still moving forward! A 30% tax credit for ebikes purchased under $8000 with a max of $1500 credit given. Some of the limitations you need to know about now is that these following specs MAY need to be carefully considered when you purchase your next electric bicycle. The tax credit proposal is stating that the Max speed of an ebike must not exceed 28mph to qualify, as well as a motor with 750 watts max.
Call your US rep and ask them to support the e-bike act! It’s currently being reviewed in the House Ways and Means Committee at the moment. Keep in mind that when this bill passes, we could see another spike in demand for ebikes in the future!

NATIONAL US NEWS
Ebikes USA had it’s front window smashed by some criminals looking to get a away with a Sondors Rockstar ebike (valued at $3000)! The bikes were all locked up and the crooks gave up without getting any merchandise, but a bunch of electric bikes were damaged by the U-haul truck that was used to smash the window. Brompton has a recall over motor push without peddling. The problem affects roughly 600 bikes sold in the US and these bikes cost between $3,500 and $3,800.
A software glitch is being blamed and Brompton dealers have a software update that will easily fix the problem
