[Concept of generative music by SYNTHI]
Synthi is a monophonic synthesizer. But it has 3 oscillators, sequencer and ring modulator, etc. Using these functions, I think it is possible to make organic sound, not like automatic minimal sound by machine. This music is really in between “music” and “sound”. At the same time, it is in between “composition” and “(generative) sound”. If I don’t program it, it can not be produced. If Synthi is not here, it can not be produced. It’s not important that who composes it. These are inseparably connected and hard to divide. It’s hard to call it as a specific concept or word. The most important thing of Zen is “No dependence on words and letters”. This is exactly what it is.

Generative music series by only EMS SYNTHI AKS, without any outboards. This is a complicated patch. Oscillators are used as beat. (very low frequency) Reverb volume is controlled by OSC2 and trapezoid. Filter frequency is controlled by OSC3 triangle and input2 (no signal to input2). When Synthi is switched on, noise signal is not heard. After about 20 seconds, the signal of noise can be heard.
