1. 1 Assign the LORD, you mighty,
Assign the LORD nobility.
2 Assign the LORD due glory;
Adore the LORD with purity.
3 The LORD’s voice rules the waters;
The God of glory roars;
The LORD rules many waters.
4 The LORD’s voice rings in force–
His voice explodes with splendor.
5 The LORD’s voice splinters trees,
The LORD breaks mighty cedars
6 Like calves, He makes them leap;
The cedars dance with glee.

2. Mount Lebanon and Hermon*
He makes to prance like unicorns.
7 The LORD’s voice splits the heavens
With flaming fire of lightning storms.
8 The LORD’s voice shakes the wastelands;
The LORD shakes Kadesh Wilds.
9 The deer give birth at His hand;
The LORD’s voice strips the woods;
His church aloud cries, “Glory!”
10 The LORD rides out the floods
The LORD reigns, ever holy
11 The LORD gives strength to us;
The LORD gives peace to us.
