Embarking on a journey through the heart of London on a scorching summer day, I started on bus 295, which took me from Royal Crescent through the bustling areas of Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith. The air was thick with heat, and the city's vibrant energy pulsed through the open windows. Transferring to bus 9 at Hammersmith Station, the route meandered past the stately architecture of Kensington. The sun's relentless rays intensified as I hopped onto bus 52, winding through the lively streets of Notting Hill, Ladbroke, and on towards Kensal Rise and Willesden Bus Garage. Each stop revealed different facets of London's diverse neighborhoods, though the heat made the journey feel particularly long. From there, I walked to Dollis Hill Station, where the Jubilee Line provided a brief respite from the oppressive heat, whisking me away to Bond Street Station. Back above ground, I boarded bus 390, navigating through the iconic Oxford Street, past the bustling Tottenham Court Station, and onwards to Euston, King’s Cross, and finally Archway. The relentless 30°C (86°F) temperature added a sweltering layer to the experience, making the air-conditioned moments of travel a cherished relief amidst the urban landscape.
