This is a workflow in Revit using Dynamo to check whether pile elements are fulfilling the designed embedment requirement, and subsequently update the piles' top-of-pile levels if they don't match the design requirement.

Some projects have their piles and pile caps modeled in separate families. The benefit of this method is ease to schedule while the drawback is potential misplacement of piles causing many headaches, for example, incorrect top-of-pile levels resulting in incorrect embedment depth to pile caps.

We can manually update the top-of-pile levels, but it is a tedious, time-consuming and error-prone process. By automating the process with Dynamo we getta speed things up while also eliminating potential input errors caused by the manual update.

This is a Dynamo graph that checks and updates piles' embedment depth into pile caps.

It's been tested only on OOTB pile and pile cap families, hence it needs modifications sahll customized pile or pile cap families get involved.
