i made CHICKEN BACON RANCH foil packets over an open fire in the rain | cozy campfire cooking

it rained - a lot - this day and keeping the fire going was a full time job. the dogs were only helpful at making sure no wild animals stole the chicken. i made ranch out of sour cream and mayo, plus all the fresh herbs i could find, dried dill, s&P, onion powder, and a whole bunch of seasoning salt. you can buy it at the store if you want but homemade is so easy! use the potatoes as the base, layer on your chicken thighs coated in ranch, top with bacon and broccoli. cook these babies low and slow in a foil packet on some coals. be really careful of direct flame. enjoy!
