Memories of a living structure - 1. Platz im Videowettbewerb 2018

The film explores the involvement of men and women throughout the history of the University in the context of internationality.
Speeches, lectures and sounds from the past resonate like memories of a structure. The film travels through the empty corridors and halls of the Freie Universität as if following the blood stream in a human body while the music layer plays the sound of the heart beats of the mother as a baby would hear it in the womb. The final destination of the trip is the “brain” of the University: the library. As we reach the brain we also appreciate the memories of this structure through sound recordings of men and women around the topic of internationality, taken from the archive of Freie Universität.
