Amazon RDS Multi-AZ is a feature of Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) that allows customers to make their fully managed databases highly available and durable. Multi-AZ has two different deployment options. One option allows you to deploy with one primary and one standby instance across two availability zones. The second option allows you to deploy with one primary and two readable standby instances across three availability zones. In this session, get a brief introduction into Multi-AZ, its deployment options, and the benefits of each option. You will then deep dive into the two readable standby option and its recent enhancements.
