Pa. Turnpike Commission expects high traffic volume before July Fourth

The Fourth of July is just around the corner.

While some people are set to celebrate at home, others are getting a head start on the road.

“I packed up today morning and I just left so this was like all unplanned, but I knew which day I was leaving,” said Aryan Pandya from New Jersey.

Pandya said he’s traveling to Wisconsin to visit friends and celebrate Independence Day.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission expect a gradual increase in drivers as the holiday gets closer.
