Critical Incidences

Описание к видео Critical Incidences

This whiteboard animation belongs to a series of 14 topic areas designed to help students (and managers) better prepare for their next job placement (internship / job rotation / during university coursework). They provide a novel take on how to be successful during your new job assignment (and/or during university coursework), especially when you find yourself in a situation where you are required to deal with complex unsolved problems, issues and challenges.

The 14 topics are designed to provide you with a more holistic take and go beyond traditional and conventional pre-training. Taken together, they will enable you to learn BETTER, learn FASTER and learn MORE than you are used to.

Each of the main topics covered provides you with (1) a brief background to set the scene; (2) what the topic is about; (3) three examples illustrating how to use the topic; (4) why it is important; (5) a brief “homework” exercise for you to apply.

The topics range from:
1. What is “Staying F.O.C.U.S.E.D.” framework?
2. Develop a complicated understanding
3. Using metaphors to make the unfamiliar familiar
4. Re-framing and the importance problem-setting using positive “re” words
5. Situation awareness (making sense of context)
6. Current taken-for-granted assumptions
7. Integrative thinking
8. Reflective practice
9. Persuasive skills
10. Critical incidents
11. Improvising skills
12. Relevate: make the irrelevant relevant
13. Evidence-based management
14. The value of “good” theory and research
