In this One of Us episode, we highlight Terry. Kaiser Transport’s Driver Trainer and a true example of what it means to be “Kaiser Strong.”

Terry has been trucking for 32 years, with 20 of those years spent right here at Kaiser Transport. He ran 18 years as a professional driver and has spent the last 2 years training the next generation of LTL stepdeck and double drop drivers.

In this video, Terry shares what first made Kaiser stand out to him: the day he arrived and saw Todd Kaiser himself out in the yard, working alongside the drivers late into the evening. “When you see the boss out there working until everyone else is done… that sticks with you.” That moment set the tone for the kind of culture Terry would become a part of and eventually help shape.

As Kaiser’s Driver Trainer, Terry teaches new drivers “the Kaiser way.” Even after drivers graduate from training and officially become One of Us, Terry is still watching out for them. He talks about the importance of doing things right, the old school work ethic we’re built on, and how he’s not above leaving a sticky note when something needs fixing, even if the driver’s off duty and sleeping. When Terry sees something wrong, he’ll let you know. That’s part of the pride and professionalism that defines our team.
