Another major discovery - this time in Suriname. Krabdagu is the most easterly discovery in a line of recent finds in offshore Block 58.

We take an updated look on what’s happening in the Guyana-Suriname Basin and see that activity is growing with production facilities being added, numerous exploration wells to spud this year and ongoing appraisal of other recent discoveries. Within the last decade we estimate over 12 billion barrels of oil has been discovered and will transform the economies of the host countries. The majors operating these blocks are amongst the most competent in the energy business and are focused on producing these reserves with meticulously planned and approved environmental considerations coupled with a robust safety culture.

Krabdagu is unlikely to be the last discovery in the region as we estimate over 15 exploration and appraisal wells to be drilled throughout 2022.
