DIY Palpatine Lightsaber (Darth Sidious) From Star Wars Cheap & Easy Cardboard

In this tutorial I'll show you how to make Senator Palpatine's lightsaber. Had requests for this from Chillax Riddims, Kara, and frogman2274. This is actually one of my favorite lightsabers because it's so simple. It's function over frills. Which also means it's one of the easier ones to make; bonus!
I used the silver and gold adhesive foils because they're super shiny and look like real metal. But you can also just use metallic paints if you don't want to use the foil. It just might not be quite as shiny.

MATERIALS USED:
2 cardboard rolls (One that can fit inside the other)
Pencil
Scissors or utility knife
Extra cardboard tube pieces
Smooth string
Scrap pieces of cardboard and cardstock

Paintbrush
A tapered bead or something similar
Red and green round beads
