Information about Link’s Awakening:
Link’s Awakening was released in 1993 by Nintendo for the Game Boy, and it is considered by many to be one of the best games ever released on the console. The version that we’re playing here is the Game Boy Color version, which was released in 1998 (199 in the EU). The German version was translated by famous translator Claude M. Moyse.
I love the way the game deals with questions of dreams and reality, and it gives the game a truly unique flavor of melancholy and mystery. As I played, I found that some of that came through especially poignantly in the German translation. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!
