I finally figured out what to do with this old toy car and the broken pieces of its remote: jerry-rig a circuit to connect the remote to my PS5 controller using an ESP32 as the intermediary. Took me about two hours once I knew what I was doing. It was a lot of fun reviving an old toy that had been inoperable for about ten years!
