Gehlot would have to resign from his post as Rajasthan's chief minister if he were to become the INC's national president since the "one person, one office" rule applies to the Congress party. The Gehlot camp has created resignation letters with only one line. Ashok Gehlot should keep his job, according to CM Gehlot's supporters. If not, C.P. Joshi, a close ally of his, ought to be appointed CM. "All of the MLAs in our democratic party are free to voice their opinions and express their preferences. They will choose a leader," declared Kamru Choudhury.
